Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find some of my most commonly asked questions during the booking process of both Bridal and Photoshoot services, along with a few general questions!

Bridal Bookings

How do I reserve my Wedding day?

In order have your wedding date reserved, i must both have a signed contract(sent to you after an inquiry is submitted) and the deposit is paid.

Deposit?

Yes, there is a $100 non-refundable and non-transferrable deposit. this means that if your wedding date is changed for any reason, a new contract and deposit must be submitted with the new wedding date. If a wedding is cancelled, this deposit covers all admin cancellation fees and will not be refunded.

This deposit gets put towards your wedding day total.

Do you require a service minimum?

I require at least a minimum of 4 services on the day of the wedding, not including flower girls hair and/or makeup. Please note that the bridal preview is not included in the service minimum.

When do i schedule a Bridal Preview?

1) After reserving your date with Hair by Kris Marie. 2) Weather is a huge factor in how hair will style, so we recommend planning your preview 1-3 months prior to your wedding date. GA weather is very finicky, especially during the transitional months between summer and winter, so the closer you can do your preview to your wedding date the better, in those instances.

Is a Bridal Preview required?

No, we do not require a bridal preview, but we HIGHLY recommend it. A bridal preview allows us to get to know YOUR hair so that we can best service you on your wedding date. If you choose not to do a preview, additional time will need to be added to the day of for the bride.

Can I schedule a Preview before reserving?

Our bridal previews are exclusive to our brides, therefore your date must be booked and secured to schedule your preview

Should my hair be clean or dirty?

We ask that both bride and bridal party arrive with CLEAN, fully dried hair. We DO NOT bring a blow dryer on-site with us and do not provide blowouts as a wedding service/style.

We do provide a specific shampoo and conditioner to the Bride at her Preview to use for the wedding day hair we will be styling.

What does your pricing include?

Pricing includes Bride and Bridal party touch-up kits. Kits include: bobby pins(for hair services), and lip color, lip applicator, and makeup remover towelette(for makeup services). Brides Kit also includes a cleansing balm(for makeup services). At Bridal Preview, the bride will also receive a Hair Prep Kit to prep her hair for the wedding day. Pricing for Wedding day makeup(Bride & Bridesmaids) includes false lash application; however they can elect to not have false lashes applied, but the price will remain the same

All services are also priced to have an assistant on-site with Kris Marie, so there is no extra assistant fee tacked on if an assistant is needed.

Are you able to travel to 2 locations?

We suggest having only one getting ready location. The only time this may differ is if you request us for touch-ups/a second style(by request for bride ONLY) up until the time the reception starts.

Photoshoot Bookings

Is a deposit required?

Yes, a non-refundable $50 deposit is required. This deposit allows you to reschedule 1 time for any reason(sick, weather, etc). If needing to reschedule twice, a second $50 deposit is required and the first deposit is now considered a cancellation fee. The deposit will go towards your photoshoot service total. 

Do you travel to all clients?

I travel to most clients, but I do have an in-home salon that clients can come to if they find it easier to come to me. My salon is based in Roswell, GA.

Do you come on-site to the shoot?

This is fully up to you, the client. I have an hourly rate for on-site work for both hair and makeup touch-ups.

Do I have to do both hair and makeup? 

No, you do not have to do both hair and makeup with me for photoshoots. However, if I am traveling to the client to get them ready, I have a service minimum amount of $150, this minimum does not include the travel fee.

How should I have my hair and face prepped?

We ask that you have CLEAN, fully dried hair. We DO NOT bring a blow dryer on-site with us and do not provide blowouts as part of our photoshoot styling services.

Please have a clean and freshly moisturized face using your choice of moisturizer.

What is included in your services?

Pricing includes touch-up kits for hair, makeup or both. Kits include: bobby pins, lip color, 2 lip applicators, and makeup remover towelette and/or balm.

Makeup Pricing always includes a false lash application. You can elect to not have false lashes put on, but the price will still remain the same.

General Questions

When will I receive a response to my inquiry?

Within 1-3 BUSINESS days(Mon-Fri). During busy seasons, it requires me to be out of the office and on location a lot, so please do not expect a response within 10mins of inquiring. I see every single inquiry that comes in and everyone will get a response. How soon should I book a wedding or photoshoot?

As soon as you have a date for a wedding, photoshoot, or special event, put in an inquiry! We can get the booking process started ASAP! I've had clients and brides book within minutes of receiving my information and some that took a week or two to decide. I do, however, book "first come first serve" style with the Wedding boom that has happened, meaning if there are multiple inquiries for the same date, whomever submits a contract and deposit first will have their day reserved.

What should I expect during my service time?

Expect to relax, have fun, and chat with me if you'd like. If you're not a talker, don't worry, I always have music playing(if I can remember to turn it on that is).
